A hunt has been launched for a suspect after a man was taken to hospital following an attack in Dingwall.
A 24-year-old was walking in the Maggies Wood area between Millbank Road and West Drive at around 5pm on Friday, September 5, when he was assaulted.
He was taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment.
Officers are looking to trace a male suspect connected to the attack.
He is described as being of Asian appearance, aged between 20 and 30, around 5ft 10”, of medium build, with a black faded haircut and clean-shaven.
He was wearing a navy-blue t-shirt, a black jumper wrapped around his waist, black jeans and black trainers.
It is understood he fled in the direction of Millbank Road.
Police Constable Dan McArthur said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have been in and around Maggie’s Woods at the time to please come forward.
“I would ask residents to review any home security footage they have, and ask motorists with dashcams to review their recordings, in case they have captured something that can assist our enquiries.
