Police are on the hunt for a driver after a woman was mowed down in a hit-and-run in Inverness.
The 43-year-old victim was struck by a silver-coloured car, which mounted the pavement in Kintail Crescent at around 1.20pm on Sunday.
Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to hospital with a suspected leg fracture. She has since been released.
Officers have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries and checking CCTV footage from in and around the area for any additional information on the vehicle used and those involved.
Police said the car – which had a male driver and female passenger – drove up Kintail Crescent and turned towards Oldtown Road.
Constable Paul Ross said: “I would urge anyone who believes they can assist us in identifying the car or who may have any other information that could help with our investigation to contact us.
“I would ask anyone with dashcam devices to check their footage as there could be images which could aid our enquiries.
“Any small piece of information could prove significant so please do pass it on.”
If you have any information that could help, call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
