Human remains found on a beach in Orkney have been identified as a man missing for more than two months.
John Mackay, 51, was reported missing from Muirtown Street in Inverness on November 8.
The remains were discovered on a beach at Dingieshowe, Orkney on December 14.
Mr Mackay’s family have been informed and a full report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
