A hospital ward has been closed to new admissions after a rise in cases of Covid-19.
Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway has closed one of its medical wards after a rise in cases of the virus were confirmed.
Medical ward 2 is closed to new patients until further notice in a bid to prevent further spread.

A statement read: “Please ensure you do not visit patients if you feel unwell or have experienced symptoms in the last 48 hours.
“Visitors should ensure they wash their hands before and after visiting.
