A hillwalker was stretchered off a Highland mountain after suffering a leg injury and being unable to walk.
Cairngorm Mountain Rescue teams were called out in heavy snow on Saturday evening to a hillwalker who had sustained a lower leg injury near Geal Chàrn in Laggan.
The walker was unable to continue, and a clip shared on social media showed volunteers using a stretcher to slide the casualty down the mountain.
With the rescue helicopter diverted to another incident, a keeper at Ardverikie Estate drove an Argo up the hill with team members to assist with the evacuation.
A statement from CMRT said: “Outstanding support from the estate, massive thanks to them.
“Meanwhile, a separate ski touring group reported that they required assistance.
“Fortunately, they were able to self-rescue, and team members did not need to leave the car park.
“A good outcome all round, thanks to teamwork and local support.”
