The incident is believed to have taken place on Kilmore Road in Drumnadrochit between Saturday and Tuesday.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.

Detective Sergeant Laura Mackay said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we would ask anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area during this time to come forward.

“Anyone with relevant CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam footage is encouraged to review it and contact police if they think it may assist with our enquiries.

“I’d also like to take the opportunity to remind residents to ensure their homes are secured properly.”

Those with information are urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2404 of January 13.
