Residents in the Highlands have been urged to report anything suspicious to police after an area suffered six break-ins in a week.
Officers said the spate of thefts took place between Saturday, March 2 and Monday, March 11 in the Badenoch and Strathspey areas.
They include properties in Newtonmore, Kingussie and Aviemore.
Police Scotland said a number of items were stolen, including jewellery and cash.
The force said it kept an “open mind” over whether the incidents were related.
Detective constable Katie Birtles said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in these areas, or who may have any information which could assist us, to please get in touch.
“We are keeping an open mind about whether these incidents are linked.
“Any information provided to Police could make a difference and help us bring these enquiries to a successful end.
“I would like to take this opportunity to remind people to take precautions to ensure that their homes are as secure as possible before leaving.
“Take time to make sure all locks are working and any alarm systems or CCTV are set before leaving your home and remember to remove or store any valuables out of sight.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting CR/0077797/24, or alternatively Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where people can remain anonymous.
