A mountain rescue team suffered ‘deja vu’ after being called to rescue two separate groups of walkers who became stranded on the same Munro within hours of each other.
The Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team rescued scramblers from Buachaille Etive Mor two days in a row this week after individuals became stuck on different routes while attempting the ascent.
Both incidents required technical rope rescues, with one requiring an approach from below and the other from above.
The volunteer team said it was a case of “déjà vu on the Buachaille with two Cragfasts in two days”.
Images posted by the rescue team on social media show volunteers on the side of the steep, rocky Munro with ropes, helmets, and rescue equipment.

Buachaille Etive Mòr is one of the best-known and loved Munro peaks in Scotland, according to Walk Highlands.
The view of the 3,351ft mountain from the A82 is one of the most photographed sights in Scotland.
However the Munro has a “steep and rough” ascent as well as a descent which is “scrambly in places”, according to Walk Highlands.
Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team is made up of volunteers who are on call 24/7, 365 days a year.
The charity said it responds to around 100 incidents a year, “no matter the time, place or weather”.
