A mountain rescue team was called out to assist stranded and injured hillwalkers seven times in the space of ten days.
Glencoe Mountain Rescue team said the first incident involved a walker who had fallen around seven metres in the Lost Valley area and had sustained a head injury.
The casualty was transferred to hospital in Glasgow with the assistance of the coastguard.
The following day, a walker on the West Highland Way was assisted by teams after falling unwell. First aid was administered and the casualty was taken into the care of the ambulance service.
A few hours later. a walker slipped and tumbled around 50 metres onto rocks while traversing a slope on the Mamores.
Glencoe MRTThe coastguard winched the casualty to safety while the rescue team walked the rest of the group off the hill.
The next day, a climber suffered leg and head injuries after falling around 30 metres on Buachaille Etive Mor.
The casualty was airlifted to hospital by the coastguard and team members assisted their climbing partner off the hill.
While this rescue was ongoing, a runner fell while on the West Highland Way and suffered an arm injury. Glencoe MRT’s doctor and police headed to the scene and the runner was taken into the care of ambulance crews.
The crew then also dealt with two seperate requests to assist cragfast walkers on Buachaille Etive Mor.

“Thank you also to the bystanders who step in to assist and providing valuable first aid while waiting for help to arrive.
“Glencoe Mountain Rescue, as with all rescue teams in the country, are all volunteers and regularly put themselves at risk to help anyone in difficulty in the mountainous environment.”
