A teenage girl has been charged after a barn was allegedly set on fire in the Highlands.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at Caplich Quarry, Alness, at around 7.30pm on Saturday, 24 August.
The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and there were no reports of any injuries.
A 13-year-old female has been charged in connection with the fire.
A report will be submitted to the Children’s Reporter and Procurator Fiscal, a Police Scotland spokesperson said.
Residents in Ross and Cromarty had been urged to keep their windows and doors closed on Saturday night following the blaze at the quarry.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service initially sent four trucks to the area which remained on site into Sunday.
