Four walkers were rescued after becoming stranded during heavy snow in the Cairngorms.
Braemar Mountain Rescue was called after the group of hill walkers got into difficulty during bad weather.
Team members were called to help the stranded walkers on January 2, and marked the team’s first call out of the year.
The team was assisted by HM Coastguard, which deployed a search and rescue helicopter from Prestwick to help find the stranded adults.
A spokesperson for the HM Coastguard said: “The HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Prestwick assisted Cairngorm and Braemar Mountain Rescue Teams (MRTs) to reach four adult walkers reported to be stranded in the Cairngorms in bad weather.
“HM Coastguard was informed at about 7.15pm on January 2. The MRTs reached the group and walked them to safety.”
