Firefighters have been tackling a wildfire which has broken out on a hillside in the Highlands.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue service were called to reports of a blaze near Mallaig around 1pm on Tuesday.
Thick plumes of smoke could be seen from the A830 as the fire took hold.
Three appliances were sent to the scene, and firefighters were still tackling the blaze seven hours later.
Meanwhile firefighters have tackled a blaze on Ben Lomond which was reportedly started by a “dropped cigarette”.
SFRS were called to the west slope of the mountain at around 2.15pm on Tuesday following reports of a fire.
It comes as a warning for wildfires was issued by SFRS over the weekend, as high pressure and strong winds were forecast for parts of Scotland.
