The family of a missing Scottish dad who disappeared after setting off hillwalking in the Highlands say the search to find him is over.
Finn Creaney, from Tain, hasn’t been seen since heading off on a wilderness challenge walk at Loch Naver in Sutherland on March 25, 2022.
In 2023, his wife Lucy told STV News that it was her greatest wish to have him home to meet their baby son Bran.
She was 31 weeks pregnant when she last saw her husband.
His last message to her was sent as he headed off on a weekend adventure in the wilds of Sutherland, but he never came home.
A major search operation was launched including mountain rescue teams and Police Scotland’s Air Unit – but he was not traced.
A page dedicated to finding the 33-year-old said in an update on Tuesday that the search for the hillwalker had concluded.
The post read: “Three years since we all last seen Finn! Hope he is at peace and rocking with the legends in the spirit realm.
“I know a lot of folk have been wanting an update but there are no more updates and will be no more updates from the page as the search for Finn has concluded and we as a family have started our healing journey.
“Forever grateful for your support throughout this difficult time and wish you all the best.
“Rest easy Finn Creaney! Always in our memories.”
