Three people have been taken to hospital after an air ambulance was dispatched to a crash in the Highlands.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision, which occurred on the A9 near its junction with the A938 north of Carrbridge around 11.40am on Tuesday.
The road between the Raigbeg turn off and Slochd Summit has been closed to traffic in both directions as a result.
Traffic Scotland has warned of a 20 minute delay with roads between Inverness and Dalwhinnie affected.
Scottish Fire and Rescue crews remain at the scene alongside the police and ambulance services.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 11.40am on Tuesday, police received a report of a serious road crash on the A9 near its junction with the A938, north of Carrbridge.
“Emergency services are on the scene and the road is currently closed. Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.”
The force later added: “Three people have been taken to hospital so far.
“The road will remain closed as crash scene investigators conduct enquiries into the circumstances of the collision.
“Motorists are advised to find alternative routes and diversions are in place.”
