Drivers have been urged to avoid the A9 after an early morning crash in the Highlands.

Police were called to the road at Invergordon, north of Tomich, after a collision between a van and a car at around 6.40am on Tuesday.

Emergency services remain in attendance at this time.

Drivers have been urged use an alternative route.
