Drivers have been informed that they will face a nearly 20-mile diversion due to a collision on a road in the Highlands.
Emergency services were called to the A9 near Newtonmore after reports of a crash at around 6.05pm on Tuesday.
The road has been closed in both directions following the incident. Road users are advised to avoid the area and expect a 19.6-mile diversion.
The number of vehicles involved is unknown, and the nature of any injuries is also unknown.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The A9 is closed in both directions south of Newtonmore due to a crash which was reported around 6.05pm on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
“Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use diversions in place.”
