Drivers travelling on the A9 between Perth and the Highlands face major delays and diversions after the road was closed near Dunkeld.
Traffic Scotland confirmed the road has been closed near Jubilee Bridge following a one-car crash around 10.20am on Monday.
Drivers face delays due to diversions, with northbound traffic at 45 minutes and southbound at around 30 minutes.
The diversion north is 26 miles, while the diversion south is 36 miles.
Emergency services are in attendance.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10.27am to attend a one-car road traffic collision on the A9, near Dunkeld.
“We dispatched an ambulance, an air ambulance, a critical care team, and a special operations response team (SORT) to the scene.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The A9 is closed in both directions at Dunkeld following a report of a crash around 10.25am on Monday, August 17.
“Emergency services are at the scene and diversions are being put in place.
“Drivers are advised to take an alternative route.”
