A bridge on the A9 in the Highlands has been closed after a crash.
The collision happened south of the Cromarty Bridge, at the Culbokie junction with the B9163, at around 8am on Friday.
One person was taken to Raigmore Hospital.
There is currently no access across the bridge.
Police are in attendance, and drivers have been asked to find alternative routes.
A police statement read: “The A9 is closed south of the Cromarty Bridge at the Culbokie junction with the B9163 following a crash reported around 8.05am on Friday, October 9, 2026.
“Emergency services are in attendance, and road users are advised to avoid the area.”
An SAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 08:04 to attend a road traffic collision on the A9, near Cromarty Bridge.
“We dispatched two ambulances, a critical care paramedic (CCP), and two paramedic response units (PRU) to the scene. We transported one patient to Raigmore Hospital.”
