A cow was rescued from a ditch after getting stuck in mud in the Highlands.
Glenelg Mountain Rescue were called to rescue the cow after it became trapped in mud on the hill on Tuesday morning.
Images showed the brown cow lodged in the bog as volunteers used equipment to remove it.
Teams strapped a harness around the cow’s face before it was pulled out of the ditch.



Glenelg MRT posted on Facebook: “The team went to the rescue of a cow that had become trapped in mud on the hill this morning.
“Successful outcome and a happy heifer and a fine training exercise for the team.”
