A dog has been rescued after falling 100ft over the edge of a cliff in Shetland.

Two-year-old Whisp took a tumble over the cliff in Heylor around 11am on Thursday.

Coastguard rescue teams were sent to the scene, and the Collie was seen 30 metres down on a rocky ledge, making access from the seaward side impossible.

A rope technician was sent in to retrieve Whisp, who was returned to his owners unscathed.
