Two teenage boys had to be rescued from a dinghy after getting into difficulty off the Caithness coast.
The alarm was raised by a member of the public shortly after 5.30pm on Saturday.
Thurso RNLI launched lifeboat The Taylors and sped off to find the drifting inflatable near Rock Well in Thurso Bay.
The 15-year-olds were picked up by the lifeboat and treated by crew members.
The teens were then transferred into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service on return to Scrabster at 5.55pm.
A spokesperson from Thurso RNLI said: “This successful rescue highlights what can go wrong when inappropriate small inflatables are used on the open sea.
“We would like to thank Anja Johnson who very quickly realised something was wrong and dialled the Coastguard on 999.”
