A body has been recovered from a loch near Fort William after a major search operation was launched.
A large emergency service response, including Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team, the RNLI Oban lifeboat and an HM Coastguard Rescue Helicopter, was called to Loch Linhe at around 6.30pm on Wednesday.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched multiple resources to aid with the search.
A body was pulled from the water on Thursday, with the death being treated as unexplained by police.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.30pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, we received a report of a person in the water at Loch Linnhe.
“On Thursday, December 5, a body was recovered.
“Next of kin have been informed.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
