A body found in woodland on the outskirts of Inverness has been confirmed as missing man George Critch.
The 63-year-old had been missing since early June.
Police discovered a body within Craig Phadraig Woods on Wednesday, July 7, which has now been formally identified as Mr Critch.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can now confirm that the body of a man found near to Great Glen Way, within Craig Phadraig Woods, Inverness, on Wednesday, 7 July, has been formally identified as 63-year-old George Critch.
“His family have been informed and request that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a full report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
