A body has been found in search of a man from Belgium who went missing while hillwalking on the Isle of Skye.
Hector Patemore was last seen around 10.45am on Sunday after leaving the Youth Hostel in Glen Brittle, Torrin, to begin his walk.
The 45-year-old had planned to climb Sgurr Na Banachdich, coming down via Coire Na Banachdich in the Cuillin Mountain area. However, he failed to return to his accommodation.
On Monday, police received a report of a body found in the Cuillin area of Skye.
Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of Mr Patemore have been made aware.
A Police Scotland statement read: “The death is not believed to be suspicious, and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
