A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital while another is also in a serious condition following a crash with a car in the Highlands.
The bikers, aged 28 and 26 respectively, were hurt in the collision on the A939 near Loch Belivat shortly after 3.30pm on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency crews closed off the road close to Ferness for several hours after the incident.
One of the men was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness by air ambulance while the other was driven there.
The man driving the car and a female passenger were left “shaken” but unhurt in the crash.
Police said the bikers were in a “serious but stable condition” in hospital.
Sergeant Alasdair MacKay, of Highland and Islands road policing unit, said: “Enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone with information to please contact us.
“If you were in the area at the time and witnessed the crash, or have any information or relevant dash-cam footage which may be able to assist our investigation, then please get in touch.”
