Police are appealing for information to help identify a man who was found dead in Glen Nevis in the Highlands on Christmas morning.

The body was found near a river by a member of the public at around 11am on Saturday.

Officers in Lochaber are now looking to identify the man who is described as being aged between 50 and 70-years-old and around 6ft tall with a medium build.

When found he was wearing two white t-shirts, blue jeans and desert style boots.

He is also described as being bald with shaved grey or white hair at the sides and back, grey or white stubble and blue eyes.

Policer say there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.

Detective Inspector Calum Smith said: “Our enquiries are ongoing but this death is not being treated as suspicious.

“The man remains unidentified and I would urge anyone who may be able to help to come forward.”
