Driver killed in early morning car crash named by police

Police are now appealing for information to establish the full circumstances of the crash.

A driver who died in a single-car crash near a Highland village on Sunday has been named.

Peter Kennedy was the driver and sole occupant of a silver Kia Picanto car which was involved in the crash on September 17 at 8.10am on the B9091 at Croy.

The 56-year-old who was from Aberdeen was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are now appealing for information to establish the full circumstances of the crash.

Sergeant Neil MacDonald said: “Our thoughts remain with Peter’s family and friends at this very difficult time.

“Our investigation to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and I would urge anyone with information who has not yet spoken to us to come forward.

“If you can help please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0921 of Sunday, September 17, 2023.”
