The A9 has been closed in both directions near Aviemore following a two-vehicle crash.
The incident occurred around 12.50pm on the busy road at Boat of Garten, around five miles from the Highland town.
Emergency services were called to the scene, however it is not known if there were any injuries following the crash.
Police said traffic was being diverted via Carrbridge and the road is likely to be closed for some time.
Drivers have been advised that the diversion is not suitable for HGVs.
