The A9 has been closed in both directions due to a crash and drivers have been asked to avoid the area.

Emergency services were called to the road after a two car collision between Slochd and Tomatin at around 7.10am on Monday.

The road has been closed in both directions.

It is unknown if anyone is injured as a result of the crash at this time.

A spokesperson said: “The A9 is closed between between Slochd and Tomatin due to a crash involving two vehicles, which was reported around 7.10am on Monday, 15 September, 2025.

“Emergency services are in attendance. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.”
