The A9 has been closed in both directions due to a crash and drivers have been asked to avoid the area.

Emergency services were called to the road after a two car collision between Brora and Golspie at Doll at around 6.10pm on Thursday.

The road has been closed in both directions.

It is unknown if anyone is injured as a result of the crash at this time.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
