Road closed following four-vehicle crash near Fort William

A major road has been closed in both directions following a four-vehicle collision west of Fort William.

The crash occurred on the A830 near Corpach just after 2pm on Wednesday, August 5.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Services (SFRS) confirmed the crash involved four vehicles.

Two fire appliances were dispatched from Fort William to the scene at around 2.20pm. Crews helped make the scene safe before leaving at 3.30pm.

An ambulance spokesperson said: ““We received a call at 2.24pm to attend a multiple vehicle road traffic collision on the A830, west of Corpach.

“We dispatched three ambulances to the scene.”

A police spokesperson said: “The A830 is closed at Corpach, west of Fort William, following a crash reported to police around 2.15pm on Wednesday, August 5.

“Road users are advised to avoid the area.”

The A830 road is currently closed in both directions due to the crash.
