Person airlifted to hospital following crash as drivers urged to avoid area

A person had to be airlifted to hospital after a crash that closed a busy road in the Highlands.

The incident took place on the A82 at Bridge of Oich at around 2.30pm on Sunday.

Emergency services attended and the casualty was taken by air to Inverness hospital.

Road users are advised to avoid the area as investigations take place.

A diversion is in place along the A87 from Invergarry to Invermoriston.

Police confirmed the crash on Sunday afternoon.
