Firefighters tackle blaze at pub in Black Isle town

The fire began at the Union Tavern on Fortrose High Street on Friday morning.

Firefighters have tackled a blaze at a town centre pub on the Black Isle.

Emergency services were alerted to the fire at the Union Tavern on Fortrose High Street at 9.15am on Friday.

Fire crews wearing breathing gear used hose jets to extinguish the blaze at the pub.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters have extinguished a fire at a commercial premises on Fortrose High Street.

“There were no rescues and nobody was injured.”
