A 20-year-old man who died following in a two-car crash in the Highlands has been named.

Angus Plowman died of his injuries at Raigmore Hospital following the collision on the Black Isle on Monday.

Two others were treated for minor injuries at the scene of the collision on the A832 Avoch to Munlochy Road.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "At around 11am on Monday, emergency services received a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A832 east of the Munlochy junction.

"The driver of a black Volkswagen was taken to Raigmore Hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service but sadly died as a result of his injuries sustained in the collision.

"The occupants of the other vehicle, a black Renault, received minor injuries as a result of the incident but did not require further treatment."
