Hollywood star Roy Rogers led his horse Trigger up the stairs at the Glasgow Grand Central Hotel in 1953.
The sight delighted schoolchildren who gathered to witness the historic moment, which is now being used as part of a celebration to mark the reopening of much of Scotland’s hospitality industry.
Glasgow’s VOCO Grand Central Hotel first opened in 1883 and its corridors have been graced by some of the biggest names in showbusiness.
Over the past few days it’s hosted a light show, produced by Double Take Projections, featuring images from the hotel’s history.
Paul Bray, the hotel’s general manager, said: “We’ve had an amazing response and I think that just shows what this place means to the people of Glasgow.”
Here’s some of the pictures which have featured in the nightly display, which ends on Thursday.
