Whisky festival's live events to feature tasting sessions and music

The National Whisky Festival of Scotland will hold live exhibition events in Edinburgh and Glasgow this winter.

Over two extensive three-and-a-half hour sessions, each event will showcase dozens of exciting and innovative distillers, bottlers and aficionados from across the industry.

As well as tasting sessions and presentations by brand ambassadors and industry experts, there will also be specially-curated live music performances, craft stalls, and pop-up food and drink vendors.

The Edinburgh and Glasgow events follow the sell-out success of the festival’s return to Aberdeen’s Music Hall in September.

The Edinburgh exhibition will take place at Summerhall on Saturday, December 11.

Meanwhile, the Glasgow edition will take place at SWG3 on Saturday, January 22, during the city’s much-loved Celtic Connections festival.

The festival’s organisers said: “We are incredibly excited to finally be heading back to Glasgow, the festival’s spiritual home, as part of what is sure to be another incredible Celtic Connections festival.

“Our Aberdeen edition was a reminder that collaboration and celebration with those around us is vitally important to what we do and we are excited to once again be walking into the dynamic world of physical whisky events.

“Glasgow is our flagship event and remains our most popular to date, meanwhile, Edinburgh Summerhall is a brand new venue for us and will provide the perfect atmosphere for our newest event in the capital this December.
