Westlife singer Nicky Byrne has been left “battered and bruised” after falling through a hole while on stage during one of the group’s Scottish gigs.
Performing at the Hydro in Glasgow, Nicky was left with bruising on his side after tumbling down a staircase on Saturday night.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Nicky said he “didn’t realise the mechanical stairs had opened behind me”.
“A crazy moment which could have been a lot worse but I’m completely fine, a little bit battered and bruised but ok.”
He reassured fans he would be back on stage, saying “the show must go on” before finishing with the hashtag “really flying without wings”.
The Irish singer shared a photo of his injury showing the bruising on his side.
Westlife have delighted Scottish fans with Glasgow and Aberdeen shows as part of their 2022 Wild Dreams arena tour.
Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian hit the road this year following their 2019 reunion tour.
The Irish boyband kicked off their return at Aberdeen’s P&J Live on November 17 followed by the show at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on November 19.
