US singer and rapper Aaron Carter has died at the age of 34.
Carter was the younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter.
A representative of the artist confirmed his death on Saturday.
They said: “We’re just as upset as everybody and hope that fans can give their thoughts and prayers to his family.”
Officers from the Los Angeles County Police Department found Carter at his residence in Lancaster, California.
His cause of death is still being determined.
Carter found fame as a pop and hip hop singer in the late 1990s.
In 1997, he released a self-titled debut album at the age of 9.
He went on to make guest appearances on Nickelodeon, as well as touring with the Backstreet Boys.
The singer also appeared on Dancing with the Stars, as well as appearing on Broadway.
