Getty ImagesStone Roses and Primal Scream bassist Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield has died aged 63.
The bassist’s brother Greg Mounfield announced his death on social media.
In a post on Facebook, he said: “It is with the heaviest hearts that I have to announce the sad passing of my brother Gary Mani Mounfield. RIP RKID.”
From Crumpsall in Manchester, he joined The Stone Roses in 1979 and performed until they disbanded in 1996.
