Still Game’s Jack and Victor back on TV in whisky advert Jack and Victor

Much-loved Still Game characters Jack Jarvis and Victor McDade are making a television return in a new whisky advert.

The mischievous pensioners, played by Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill, haven’t been seen on the small screen since the final series of the hit BBC comedy ended in 2019.

The 20-second advert for the Jack and Victor Whisky range will be shown on STV for the first time just before 4pm on Wednesday and will run until December 15.

Kiernan, 59, who plays Jack, said: “We roped in our old pal Michael Hines, who directed Chewin’ the Fat and Still Game, to help with the ad, so it was nice to have some of the original team back together.

“It was great fun to make, and we’re sure fans will love hearing Jack and Victor’s voices again.”

Hemphill, who plays Victor, was also delighted to make a surprise return to TV screens.

The 51-year-old said: “We’ve had a great reaction from Still Game fans and whisky drinkers since we launched our own dram earlier this year.

“It means you can enjoy a wee bottle each and don’t have to worry about someone drinking your share, which is exactly what Tam would have done if he’d been around during the tasting sessions.”
