Spider-Man filming suspended after star Tom Holland injured in stunt

Actor Tom Holland was taken to hospital after injuring himself during a stunt on set, but he was said to have attended an event later that evening.

Actor Tom Holland was taken to hospital after injuring himself during a stunt on the set of Spider-Man.

The 29-year-old, who has starred as the superhero in the blockbuster films since 2016, is believed to have suffered a mild concussion while filming “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” on Friday.

The British actor was taken to hospital as a precaution. The following night, Holland is understood to have left a charity dinner early after feeling ill.

He had attended the event with his family, and his fiancée, and Spiderman co-star Zendaya.

Filming has been suspended on “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” since the incident.

It will be the fourth web-slinger film led by Holland, which began filming in August in Glasgow.

After completing the outdoor shooting, work was moved to Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is currently in production and due to be released next July.

“It’s been such a long time that I’ve done it that it’s going to feel like a breath of fresh air,” Holland said of the film in July.

“I think the fans are going to be over the moon with what we’re putting together.”
