Eurovision star Sam Ryder delighted shoppers in the capital with a surprise festive performance outside The Dome.
The singer braved the rain in Edinburgh on Wednesday to perform some Christmas classics, including Jingle Bells and Run Rudolph Run.
He also performed a stripped back version of his hit song Spaceman, which earned him second place at 2022’s Eurovision Song Contest.
As a result, the 2023 competition was hosted in Liverpool on behalf of first place winners Ukraine, who were unable to host amid ongoing conflict with Russia.

His performance was a gift to locals from on-demand delivery app, Deliveroo, who revealed Edinburgh residents are the most charitable when it comes to using the in-app roundup function to donate to anti-poverty charity, the Trussell Trust.
