Rod Stewart pleads not guilty to attacking security guard

The music legend and his son have both been charged with 'simple battery' in Florida.

Rod Stewart has pleaded not guilty to attacking a security guard in Florida.

The entertainer and his son Sean are accused of punching Jessie Dixon after he allegedly refused them entry to a party.

Not guilty pleas to “simple battery” were entered by lawyers for Sir Rod, 75, and his 39-year-old son during a hearing at West Palm Beach Courthouse earlier this week.

Neither man was present for the hearing.

If found guilty, they could face up to one year in prison.
