Oasis add extra Edinburgh date to reunion tour amid 'unprecedented demand'

The band, led by the Gallagher brothers, will now play a third night in Scotland.

Oasis have announced extra dates to their reunion tour amid “unprecedented demand”.

The rock band, who revealed they were getting back together earlier this week, will now play three nights at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.

August 12 has been added to the two original dates of August 8 and 9.

In a social media post on Thursday they also revealed extra nights at Heaton Park in Manchester and Wembley Stadium in London.

Tickets for next summer’s concerts will go on sale on Saturday following a pre-sale on Friday.

The total number of dates for the 2025 is now 17, also including nights in Cardiff and Dublin.

The band, led by Gallagher brothers Liam and Noel, announced the tour on Tuesday, 15 years since they split in 2009.

It is also the 30th anniversary of their hit debut album Definitely Maybe.

Ticket ballot

Following the announcement, a ballot was opened on Tuesday evening for fans to be in with a chance to get tickets during the presale event.

Oasis said they had received “an unprecedented volume” of entries to the ballot.

Those entering were being asked who the band’s original drummer is, and are offered the options of Chris Sharrock, Alan White and the correct answer, Tony McCarroll, who drummed with the band from their formation until 1995.

The question led to Tony McCarroll being the most Googled person in the world that day.

Fans who entered the ballot, which closed on Wednesday at 7pm, received an email confirming whether they were in the running for a presale code.

The tour is set to be one of the biggest shows in 2025, and with that in mind, here’s everything you need to know about how to get tickets to the highly anticipated reunion.

How to get tickets

Fans who have already entered the ballot can expect to be contacted no later than 9am BST on Friday, August 30.

Those selected in the ballot will receive and email with full details regarding the presale event.

Following the presale on Friday, tickets for the UK shows will go on general sale at 9am on Saturday, August 31.

Oasis 2025 UK tour dates

Despite speculation that a Glastonbury slot could be in the works, the band has confirmed it will not be playing Glastonbury 2025 or any other festivals next year.

Announcing the tour on Tuesday, the band said in a post on X: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
