Wu-Tang Clan and Nas are coming to Glasgow on a co-headlining world tour in 2023.
The hip-hop collective and rapper are teaming up for their NY State of Mind trek across Europe, New Zealand, Australia and North America.
They recently toured together across North America in the late summer and early autumn of 2022 under the same banner – performing in more than 25 cities.
The tour – including a show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles – was also recently nominated for Pollstar’s 2022 Hip Hop Tour of The Year.
When are they coming to Scotland?
Nas and Wu-Tang head to Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Monday, June 12.
What are their latest works?
Nas released his latest album King’s Disease III in November. Wu-Tang launched A Better Tomorrow in 2014, with a controversial single-edition Once Upon A Time in Shaolin a year later – the most expensive work of music ever sold.
Wu Tang’s Scottish connection
The Wu-Tang Clan also boast a Scottish link; the group have been friends with Texas for more than two decades.
The relationship dates back to the late 1990s, when they met the Scots alt-rockers in famed Quad Studios in New York.
Both camps worked together on releasing joint single Say What You Want (All Day Every Day), which Sharleen Spiteri and Method Man performed live at London’s 1998 Brit Awards.
The bands remained friendly in the intervening years, with members reuniting for track Hi in December 2020, the lead single from Texas’ tenth album of the same name.
