Nadia Sawalha has said she has started legal action against ITV after she was “bullied out” of her job at Loose Women.
The presenter and broadcaster is alleging she has faced discrimination after she was taken off air in July 2026, claiming her vocal support for Palestine was the reason.
In a post on her Instagram, Sawalha claimed she had been “messed around” by Loose Women’s producers for months.
She insisted she had never mentioned her support for Palestine on air, saying: “Even though I’m hired for being an opinionated woman on a discussion show and I’ve never brought up or spoken about Palestine directly on the show.”
Sawalha has hired the European Legal Support Center (ELSC) to assist with her case.
It said on its website that their pre-action letter to ITV claimed the broadcaster “subjected Nadia to direct discrimination, indirect discrimination and harassment because of her protected philosophical beliefs, namely her anti-Zionist beliefs, which are protected under the Equality Act 2010”.
“We argue that Nadia was treated less favourably than other ITV presenters who faced significant public complaints, raising serious concerns about equality in the workplace, and the treatment of those who speak out for Palestinian rights,” the organisation added.
The ELSC said Sawalha was calling for ITV to apologise and assurances that she will not be taken off air for future programmes.
