Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus has said she is grateful for being double vaccinated after testing positive for coronavirus.
The Glasgow singer announced on Thursday that she had received a positive test result for the virus.
McManus, who won the second series of the talent show in 2003, thanked NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde staff.
The 41-year-old, expecting to welcome her second child early next year with husband Jeff Nimmo, also praised the vaccine roll-out across the country.
Posting a picture of her lateral flow test on social media, she said: āNot quite the Christmas present I was hoping for but thankfully me & bump are now feeling a bit better.
āSo very grateful that I had been double vaccinated.
āThank you to our incredible @NHSGGC & all those responsible for the brilliant vaccine roll out across Scotland.ā
