M&D’s is launching a live-action immersive zombie horror experience for the first time.
The theme park is being transformed for Zombie Checkpoint, which will “create a heart-racing adventure not for the faint-hearted.”
M&D’s has teamed up with the UK’s top “zombie creators”, Zombie Infection, to stage the “dramatic and adrenaline-fueled” outdoor attraction.
The debut show, which comes complete with a disclaimer, centres around a “biohazard containment facility” with labyrinthine corridors, flickering lights, screaming alarms, and “infected zombies”.
Jensen Taylor Connelly, director, said: “This year we have two exciting horror attractions on offer and we are delighted to bring zombie Infection to Scotland for the first time.
“This is like nothing anyone has experienced before – there will be lots of drama, scares, smoke and special effects. You really can expect the unexpected. And if that’s not enough, we have a second show to ramp up the scare factor. It’s going to be a fantastic night, and we urge visitors to make sure they wear trainers so they can run.”
Zombie Checkpoint is aimed at eighteen-year-olds, or from fourteen years if a disclaimer is signed, and will run on selected dates and times between Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 26.
A tamer show, The Last Line of Defence, aimed at ten to 14-year-olds, will also run at select times during the same period.
For horror enthusiasts looking for more, a second performance, Freak Show: Uncaged, presented by Stage Craft Entertainment, will invite visitors to step inside a circus for a psychological tale.
This experience will run from Saturday, October 11, to Sunday, October 26, on selected dates and times.
