Singer Jessie J has revealed her breast cancer surgery was a success and that the disease has not spread.
In a post on Instagram, the 37-year-old said she was crying “happy tears”.
The Price Tag singer announced in June that she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer and was undergoing surgery.
Sharing a video of her son saying “mummy’s going to be okay” before her surgery, she wrote: “And… I AM OK”.
She added that her results showed her cancer had not spread and thanked everyone for their well wishes.
In good humour, she continued: “Lots of healing to go and one more surgery to make these cousins looks more like sisters.
“But for now its gratitude time.”
Signing the post off, she joked that she was changing her name to “The LopJess Monster”.
Jessie J has been open about her diagnosis and has regularly posted updated about her recovery on social media.
Last week, she said it had been “nice to slow down”, but it is “still uncomfortable” and a “little painful”.
The singer-songwriter, best known for her number one songs Domino, Price Tag, and Bang Bang, performed at Capital’s Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on June 15 and made an emotional speech promising to “beat breast cancer” in her final performance before her surgery.
She said: “I feel so proud to be feeling OK, to be this honest person where you say what you feel, and this being my last show before I go and have surgery.”
The artist has faced ill health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition aged eight, suffering a minor stroke aged 18 and having briefly gone deaf in 2020.
She was awarded four Mobo awards in 2011, including best UK act, best newcomer, best song for Do It Like A Dude and best album with Who You Are and won the Brit Award for rising star in 2011.
