Jamie T has secured his first number one album with his newest release, The Theory Of Whatever.

The singer, 36, released the album last week after nearly six years away from the music scene.

It comes ahead of a UK tour for the Wimbledon-born artist, in which he will play Glasgow’s O2 academy – where he released a second date for the venue due to overwhelming demand.

Jamie T previously enjoyed success with his debut 2007 album, Panic Prevention, which peaked at number four in the charts, Kings And Queens, which hit number two, 2014’s Carry On The Grudge and 2016 album Trick.

Collecting his official number one album award, the singer told OfficialCharts.com: “Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for the support on the album.

“Thank you for number one.”
